It’s that time of year again when we begin counting down to the UK’s national Fundraising Convention, and this year we’re more involved than ever. Run by the Chartered Institute of Fundraising (CIOF), the event will be run over two days, 3-4 July, at QEII Centre in London’s Westminster, with the theme for this year being Learning and Thriving Together.
Over 1500 delegates, speakers, panellists and exhibitors are expected to attend, as well as 22 volunteers, who are dedicating their time to help make the event as enjoyable and smooth-running as possible.
The volunteers undertake a number of vital jobs, including signposting, providing guidance and support, setting up and breaking down, registering and being on hand during the event’s many sessions. In short, the volunteers significantly enhance every delegate’s experience.
We are very proud therefore to be sponsoring the volunteers at this year’s Fundraising Convention. The event and especially the role of the volunteers chimes with our belief in the power of human one-to-one connection and positive conversations.
If you haven’t already got your Fundraising Convention ticket, it’s definitely worth considering coming along to discover the latest sector trends and best practices, to network with other fundraising professionals who understand the opportunities and the challenges of a career in the industry, and to find out what charities of all sizes are up to.
Fundraising Convention is the largest in-person event for fundraising professionals in the UK, and the one time of year we meet as a sector to feel part of a community that is so supportive and empowering. We hope to see you there!
